The kids called from about 15 minutes away so this photo is from the vantage point of one eager Grampa sitting on the deck railing, camera in hand...just waiting like a little kid! I love this photo of the driveway without a single pine needle on it. It is all blown and washed down just waiting to welcome in the weary travelers!
Julia and Lowell ready to get OUT OF THE CAR! Lowell has a bit of a forced smile at the prospects of unraveling his 6' 8" frame from its pretzel state in the back seat of the van. 13 hours is a long time to have 7 passengers in a metal box!
Grampa and Hazie puttin' the squeeze on each other!
Grandma Gloria (Jim's Mom) came by to say Hello to us.
This was her first time seeing Hazie!

Space is always an issue here at the cottage. We decided to buy a new fancy tent to place in the courtyard of the backyard and that is where these four will be sleeping! It works pefecttly and is a lot less pricy than adding on. With cots and a blow up bed the accomodations are pretty cool and comfy. Poor Grampa had to go to work this morning but is off the rest of the week.
Today we are just hanging out around the house and yard and letting everyone rest up and then tonight Jen's roommate from all her years at BYU and her husband and baby are coming over for dinner. Tomorrow...off to the Boardwalk at the beach for a fun day!

YEA!!! I am so glad they made it. I am glad that everyone is feelings well and that they traveled safely- what a blessing and what a treat for everyone. Of course I wish we could be there too right in the middle of things- but that would spoil the fun for everyone but me! Anyway, have a GREAT time together. Give everyone hugs and kisses from us!
I am so happy that you guys are already having fun and enjoying yourselves. There is NOTHING better than family. I love your house too!!! That view is so breathtaking! Who knew a driveway could be so beautiful! lol!
Love you guys!
I'm sure it will be tons of fun! I'm a little jealous. :)

I love the first picture of the view from an eager grampa awaiting the arrival of the travelers! You are the kind of grandparent I will strive to be...someday of course (no time soon...:))
