Angels

I haven't thought a great deal about angels in my life but lately for some reason I have been. What do you think about angels? I feel they walk and live among us and help us. I believe in guardian angels, especially for our grandchildren. Wouldn't it be neat if after we die we got to be the guardian angels of our little ones? One lady told me she hoped for that and I thought, what a sweet idea...

Angels are definitely around us. When my dad was in Hospice care here at home, the angels were very much present! When we would sit in the living room talking (dad's bedroom entrance was off to the side), not only us, but our guests also had peripheral vision of someone passing. Of course the natural response is to look where you saw something move from your side view. However, when we would look there was no one there. The family soon realized that the angels were coming and going out and into the bedroom where dad was dying. When dad's time had come, he called to us to come in. He had lost his vision of our world, but we touched him to let him know we were there. At this point he looked to the ceiling and started counting, "one, two...three, four, five...look out, here they come!" He would turn his head side to side thinking they were going to fly into him! Then his eyes began to sparkle as if reflecting the pure light of glory! He was about to speak when it seemed the LORD closed his lips and all he could do was let out an exciting squeal of joy! Angels around us? They surely are! They are now servants to GOD in caring for His Children here on earth. But, the Bible does teach they one Day will be our servants in Heaven.

Yes, I know we have guardian angels. Their influence has been felt in our home and life. I've had a knowledge of angels from experiences my grandfather told us about. To take care of our loved ones just seems like a natural step to me!
